Concept Idea and Development was conducted on Milanote.

     >> TLDR
         TARGET AUDIENCE
         Players seeking new, interesting, and engaging experiences.
         Young audience (teens and up) looking for interesting and engaging games to play.

         MARKET POSITIONING
         DEVOLVER DIGITAL showcases themselves as a brand who has a very relaxed               and care-free attitude. Their pages and even descriptions of themselves entail being           passive aggressive and doing what they feel is fun and engaging. Despite this                     carefree attitude they put a lot of hard work and effort into the games that they                   publish, showing that despite the fact they “don’t care”, they do in fact care quite a             bit.

>> PRODUCTION PROCESS
CREATION
When coming up with the ideas for this project, I wanted to make something that would show the wide range that Devolver Digital has to offer young audiences. From the games Devolver Digital publishes to how they personify themselves on their webpage, I wanted that passion and creative energy to be evident in the promo video I put together.

ADAPTING | FEEDBACK
During the first iteration of the video I decided to submit a rough cut so that I could get feedback on what I might be missing and how I could improve. I was given very helpful and insightful feedback on how I could improve upon the first version and what I was lacking. Some recommendations were:
            - Sound Effects
            - Gameplay
            - Consistency (with transitions, aesthetic, and information)
            - Timing Improvement
When it was pointed out to me how those things needed improvement I went and immediately figured out how I could make those changes to not only represent my vision for the promo but also represent the brand effectively. Initially making all the changes was difficult but through trial and error I was able to put together the video I have now.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
A challenge I faced throughout the process of creating this project was knowing how exactly to put everything together. Since, there are many different games with very different aesthetics due to Devolver Digital's range of published games. I wanted to make sure I captured the heart of Devolver Digital and portrayed it as best I can. Therefore, there was a lot of trial and error when it came to finding out what worked and what didn't.

FOOTAGE
Another challenge I faced when creating this project was being able to collect footage and utilizing it in the right way in order to make something that was creatively different.

>> CREATIVE DECISIONS
Due to the fact that the footage I was using was property of Devolver Digital I had to make sure I utilized the footage in a way that was creative and not just what Devolver Digital already had published. I had to figure out how to cut the footage and put it together in a way that expressed my own vision as well as inserting gameplay footage to break everything up. So that the games/properties were represented fairly and accurately.
